Shay studio, is a premium fashion label launched in 2023 by Shaily Gupta and is based out of the Indian cities Mumbai & Indore.
Shay develops mood-lifting, edgy clothing that embody quiet luxury through sharp tailoring and unconventional hand embroidery, drawing from Indian sensibilities.
Each collection features a harmonious blend of statement pieces and elevated classics designed to be worn repeatedly across various occasions, for parties and places where you need to stand out yet fit in.
The brand seeks inspiration from philosophies and emotional conflicts. The voice talks about being in the moment and enjoying the‘present’ as it comes. Shay's garments exude elegance and offer a sense of serene comfort. The brand values a balance between contrasts, which is reflected in its designs through a harmonious interplay of structure and fluidity, minimalism and maximalism, and experimental and classic elements.
Designer Profile
Shaily Gupta graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Knitwear Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Mumbai, India, in 2022 and was acclaimed with a Gold medal by Mr. Piyush Goyal, textile minister, India for her best Academic performance.
Her award-winning design collection, Taral, led her to eventually launch her brand Shay Studio.
Having been a highly driven fashion fanatic, she translates her vision into clothes and ventures into building a brand that provides eclectic, elegant, ultra-cool, premium resortwear & modern occasion wear pieces, Menswear & Womenswear both. Her designs are deeply rooted in her curiosity for philosophy and life, emotions and theories.
She has worked previously for Not Just A Label, world’s leading designer platform. She has had experience working at design houses, export houses, start-ups and now she serves clients from around the globe, continuing to push the boundaries.
